 We found one of Chicago's long lost and very rare, public horse troughs spending it's retirement in McHenry County. For over fifty years, until the end of the second World War, many of these "Louis Sullivanesque" giants graced important intersections throughout the city - beautifully quenching the thirst of man and beast alike. How exactly do you lose something that's nearly 5' tall and weighs over 2000 pounds? |
