Dear ,
Wow,
what an exhausting last few weeks! I think you could all use
a little
fresh air. Just turn off CNN, MSNBC, Fox or whatever you've been
watching, take off those ridiculous slippers and come out to see
us. This
may may be the last beautiful weekend of the season.
Warm regards,
Beau
New In the Store
In
the cause of family harmony, I've constructed a couple of
extra antique
urn tables and promised to stop selling
the ones from our kitchen. They are just right for
seating 4-8 people and oh so much
"hipper" than that disposable thing from IKEA you're using now.
We've
also got a whole bunch of new gates (look at the unusual
English one designed to be opened and closed from
horseback), antique planters, all kinds of vintage and antique
china and pottery
(including a dozen fabulous French milk glass goblets), a bunch
of classic architectural Iron fragments and lot other quirky
little
things.
Be sure to take a peek at our new "Versailles" style planter boxes with the pinned
sides (just like the French ones, but less than half the price.) Also fresh in the store are lots of new lighting fixtures.
Tomatoes and Bacon - What Could Be Better?
In
order to stick to our goal of eating homegrown tomatoes
every day
until they're gone, Dr. Franken-Nancy has taken to combining old
recipes into new, sometimes monstrous creations. Last night Igor and I steeled ourselves for yet another experiment and were very pleasantly surprised by a deliciously cheesy, layered tomato
pie.
"My what nice tomatoes you have." "Why thank you doctor."
