  • Greetings!

It's mid-March and we're about halfway through our annual spring buying trip and pub-crawl. Now, Nancy and I consider ourselves pretty savvy travelers, but somehow we keep managing to end up in towns voted "the worst place in the county to spend the night" just as a late season snowstorm strikes

We have noticed that there seems to be an inverse relationship between our chances of finding a good place to stay and our chances of finding great stuff to buy. Luckily for you we've been stuck in some miserable places so we have had new loads of merchandise arriving about every three days or so.

I do wish this weather would hurry up and break - we need to start moving things outside. The store is packed tight, tight, tight and I'm starting to get a little worried about my ability to waddle through here without catching my love handles on something. Nancy just wants it to warm up so the ladybird beetles will move back outside.

All the Best - Beau, Nancy and Addy

    New Garden Items

A sweet little cast stone fountain, cast stone figures and finials and a "Bacchus" fountainhead. We're also suddenly afloat with great outdoor seating in iron, wood and wicker.

Dutch lavabos, several great sets of gates, four cast-iron bistro tables and a whole pile of great containers - iron, stone and copper.

A half dozen new garden benches, a huge scrolly plant stand, a big green gateway arch, all kinds of big cast iron finials.

    New Lighting
A five light red tole hanging light, a pair of copper and iron lanterns with ruby and clear glass panels, an arts and crafts porch light.

Two great bronze and iron chandeliers, several Italian floral hanging lights, a huge gilt Florentine candle sconce and several smaller ones.

A pair of big cast iron coachlights, a wrought iron hanging lantern and lots of interesting lamps including a really great red wood one with bronze mounts.

    New Fireplace Items
A pair of bronze aesthetic movement andirons, a monumental set of iron andirons in the Scottish Baronial style, several sets of craftsman andirons and a bunch of nice containers for holding firewood

An oak fireplace with beautiful carved panels, an oak fireplace with nice fluted columns, a c. 1850 carpenter gothic fireplace with old black and white paint, a "poor man's marble" slate fireplace mounted with wonderful Minton floral tiles.

    Barrington Church Salvage
I haven't had a chance to photograph everything yet, but we've finally gotten in all of the fire salvage from the historic Barrington United Methodist Church.

The load includes: eight seventeen foot tall columns with doric caps and bases, two twelve foot tall columns with doric caps and bases, five arched doorways, three pairs of French entry doors with nice hardware and a couple of great exterior lights.
